Margaret Halstan (1879-1967) joined Beerbohm Tree's company in 1904, and played Anne Page, Calpurnia, Olivia (1906, 1910), Juliet, Desdemona, and Rosalind (1908, 1916). In 1916, Matheson Lang (1879-1948) acted in a silent film as Shylock in The Merchant of Venice, with his wife as Portia.
