A scene from Lulu Belle written by the American playwrights Edward Sheldon (1886 - 1946) and Charles MacArthur (1895 - 1956) and produced by David Belasco (1853 - 1931) at the Belasco Theater, New York, running for 461 performances from Feb. 9, 1926 to March 1926.
The Broadway production was directed by David Belasco, and was a hit in spite of the controversy surrounding the work. The original cast included Lenore Ulric, Henry Hull (both in blackface) and Elizabeth Williams.
