   Scenes from Glaube und Heimat (first published in 1910) written by the German playwright Karl Schönherr (1867-1943) and produced at the Deutsches Volkstheater, Wien, on December 17, 1910.

   The performance was a complete success, and the play was quickly adopted by numerous theatres; the German premiere took place a few weeks later, on the eve of the Epiphany holiday, at the Munich Schauspielhaus.
