   The premiere of this play took place on September 19, 1923 at the Alten Theater, Leipzig, directed by Alwin Kronacher. And the performances in Berlin and Vienna in the following year took place under the police surveillance.

Geddes designed the entire Century Theatre to transform it into a cathedral.
