A scene from Le Cocu magnifique (first published in 1921) written by the Belgian playwright, Fernand Crommelynck (1885-1970), and produced at  Théâtre de l'Œuvre?, Paris in 1921.

The Magnificent Cuckold is a farce written by Fernand Crommelynck in 1920, premiered the same year in Paris and published in 1921. It pits Bruno (the cuckold) against each other, who makes questions and answers to himself, and Estrugo, his mute confidant, who responds to her with many gestures, unleashing the hilarity of the audience; From this point of view, the play's driving force is partly comic in gestures.
