A scene from The House of Connelly (Broadway two-act dramawritten by the American playwright Paul Green (1894 - 1981) and produced by the Group Theatre in association with The Theatre Guild, with the stage by Lee Strasberg (1901 - 1982) and Cherly Crawford (1902 - 1986), having run for 91 performances from Sep. 28, 1931 to Nov. 14, 1931, at the Martin Beck Theatre, New York City, and then from November 16, 1931 to January 2, 1932 at the Mansfield Theatre with the cast including Eunice Stoddard, Stella Adler, Morris Carnovsky (toasting), Mary Morris, and Franchot Tone. It was the inaugural production of the Group Theatre.
