   The Circle (a Comedy in Three Acts), written by the British playwright W. Somerset Maugham (1874 – 1965), and first produced at the Haymarket Theatre, London, on 3 March 1921, with a cast including Fay Compton, Allan Aynesworth and Ernest Thesiger.

   This has been revived several times in the West End and on Broadway. The play was produced at the Selwyn Theatre (Sep 12, 1921 - Jan 07, 1922) and the Fulton Theatre (Jan 09, 1922 - Feb 01 1922),  New York City, running for 175 performances, from September 1921 to February 1 1922. The Magnificent Cuckold is a farce written by Fernand Crommelynck in 1920, premiered the same year in Paris and published in 1921. It pits Bruno (the cuckold) against each other, who makes questions and answers to himself, and Estrugo, his mute confidant, who responds to her with many gestures, unleashing the hilarity of the audience; From this point of view, the play's driving force is partly comic in gestures.

   A scene from Araminta Arrives written by the British writer Dorothy Brandon, and performed at the Comedy Theatre, London, in 1921.
   It premiered at the Winter Gardens Theatre in New Brighton before transferring for a West End run at the Comedy Theatre that lasted for 39 performances. The cast included Eileen Beldon in the title role, along with Herbert Bunston, Louise Hampton and Lady Tree.
