In 1861, Förvexlingarne had its Swedish premiere in Stockholm. The two Antifolus were played by Edvard Swartz and Axel Elmlund and the two Dromio were played by Johan Jolin and Georg Norrby. Both the actors and the production were called excellent in the press. In 1874 and 1898 the Royal Dramatic Theatre produced The Confusion at Mindre Teatern.
