A scene from The Senator (a popular comic play, 1890) written by the American playwrights David D. Lloyd and Sydney Rosenfeld (1855 - 1931) and performed at the Star Theatre, New York City, on January 13, 1890.
After initial performances outside New York (it was first performed in St. Louis), it debuted at the Star Theatre on Broadway on January 13, 1890, and ran for 119 performances.
