Some scenes from Salome (1893) written by Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900), and produced in New York City, in 1908, starring Gertrude Hoffmann (vaudeville dancer 1886 - 1966) scantily dressed for her opera role. Her role caused scandal at many theatre houses around the country.
