A scene from Saint Joan (1923) written by the British playwright George Bernard Shaw (1856 - 1950) and produced by Alexander Tairov (Russian theatre director, 1885 - 1950), starring Alisa Koonen in the role of Joan, at the Kamerny theatre (founded in 1914) in Moscow on October 21, 1924

The play received its premiere on December 28, 1923 at the Garrick Theatre, New York City, by the Theatre Guild. The London première opened at the New Theatre on March 26, 1924.
