A scene from The Silver Box (first published in 1906) written by the British playwright John Galsworthy (1867 - 1933) and produced by Charles Frohman (1856 - 1915) at the Empire Theatre, New York City, with the scenic design by Frank Platzer, having run for only 20 performances from March 18, 1907 to April 1907, featuring Bruce McRae as Jones and Ethel Barrymore as Mrs. Jones. Critics praised Ethel Barrymore's performance, but audiences preferred to see her in more glamorous part.
