The Three Sisters written by Anton Chekhov and produced by the Moscow Art Theatre with the director Stanislavski in 1901

Some scenes from The Three Sisters written by the Russian playwright Anton Chekhov (1860-1904) and produced by the Moscow Art Theatre under the direction of Konstantin Stanislavski (1863 - 1938) and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, with the scenic design by Viktor Simov, on February 13, 1901

The cast included Stanislavski as Vershinin, Olga Knipper as Masha, Maria Andreyeva as Irina, Vsevolod Meyerhold as Tusenback, Maria Samarova as Anfisa and Alexander Vishnevsky as Kulygin. This became the most popular of the MAT's productions of Chekhov's plays, remaining part of the company's repertoire for the next 18 years.
