Scenes from Private Lives (1929), written by the English playwright Noël Coward (1899 - 1973), produced by C. B. Cochran, and premiered on 18 August 1930, at the King's Theatre in Edinburgh, directed by Coward and starring Coward as Elyot, Gertrude Lawrence as Amanda, Laurence Olivier as Victor and Adrianne Allen as Sibyl. Sets and costumes were designed by Gladys Calthrop.
