The Life of Man written by Leonid N. Andreyev produced at the Moscow Art Theatre


Scenes from The Life of Man (first published in 1906) written by the Russian playwright Leonid N. Andreyev (1871-1919)  and produced at the Moscow Art Theatre under the direction of Konstantin Stanislavsky (Russian theatrical practitioner, 1863 - 1938) in 1907, featuring Leonid Leonidov as Man and Ilya Uralov as Someone in Grey

This play premiered on February 22,  1907 at the Komissarzhevskaya Theatre, directed by Vsevolod Meyerkhold, and then on December 12, 1907, it was performed at the Moscow Art Theatre, directed by Konstantin Stanislavski and Leopold Sulerzhitsky.

The Cherry Orchard written by Anton Chekhov and first produced, under the direction of Stanislavski, at the Moscow Art Theatre in 1904

Several scenes from The Cherry Orchard  (Вишнëвый сад written by the Russian playwright Anton Chekhov (1860-1904) and first produced, under the direction of Konstantin Stanislavski and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, with Scenic design by Viktor Simov, at the Moscow Art Theatre, on January 30, 1904. Chekhov described the play as a comedy, with some elements of farce, though Stanislavski treated it as a tragedy.

The cast included Olga Knipper as Madame Ranyevskaya, Maria Lilina as Anya, Maria Andreyeva as Varya, Stanislavski as Gaev, Leonid Leonidov as Lopakhin, Vasili Kachalov as Trofimov, Elena Muratova as Charlotta, Ivan Moskvin as Yepihodov, Sofia Khaliutina as Dunyasha, Alexander Artem as Firs, Nikolai Alexandrov as Yasha, Mikhail Gromov as a passer-by, and Alexander Zagarov as the stationmaster.
