Alt - Heidelberg (1903) written by Wilhelm Meyer - Föster and produced at the Großen Schauspielhaus, Berlin, in 1932

A scene from Alt - Heidelberg (1903) written by the German playwright Wilhelm Meyer-Föster (1862 - 1934) and produced at the Großen Schauspielhaus, Berlin, probably in the title of  Der Studentenprinz (The Student Prince) on October 22, 1932. This production left little trace, while England rejected the show not once but twice. Produced at His Majesty’s Theatre in London with several of the original cast, it was poorly received and closed after three months and 96 performances whilst Rose Marie continued its triumphant progress at Drury Lane.
