Habima performed it 300 times in the Soviet Union, 292 in Moscow; the last was on 18 January 1926. The Theater has its roots in Moscow, founded by Nahum Zemach, and they first found fame in producing The Dybbuk. In 1931, the company moved to pre-state Israel where they eventually became the National Theater of Israel.
